I REST IN THE LORD

Exodus 20v8

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

This was something I really had to be enlightened on, because I had previously been ignorant to the importance of the sabbath day, and more importantly on keeping it.

The 10 commandments are NOT done away with and I know that true daughters of the most High who are born again are not in the business of being lukewarm or treating the commandments of the Most High like a goody bag, where you pick and mix the laws.

The Sabbath day is a gift for us to rest in the Lord, and there is a deception that the sabbath does not apply anymore or that you can choose the day the Sabbath day is. However, the word of God says the opposite and for me I understood ONLY by the grace of God the importance of the Sabbath day,

WHY?

Well because I was able to understand how to keep the Sabbath day holy by watching the video below.

SCRIPTURE

Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them.

The Sabbath is mentioned several times in the new testament but some verses that I found are below.

Acts 17v2

And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

Mark 16v1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

I love this verse below because it consolidates the importance of the LAWS of the most High

Revelation 14v12

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
